2025 World Series odds: Dodgers favored to win it all, Braves fall

The countdown to the 2025 MLB Fall Classic has officially begun, as the new season is in full swing.

The Dodgers blew past the Yankees in the 2024 World Series, winning 4-1 to earn their second title in the past five years.

With a revamped pitching staff, will L.A. make it three in six years? Or, will the Mets — whom the Dodgers defeated in the 2024 NLCS — make a run after the addition of Juan Soto?

Currently, the Dodgers are favored at +250, staying put over the last week. The Braves are a team, however, whose odds are falling. Atlanta is 2-9 on the season, and has seen its odds shift to +1100 from +900.

Let’s take a look at the odds to win the Fall Classic at DraftKings Sportsbook as of April 10.

World Series winner 2025:

Los Angeles Dodgers: +250 (bet $10 to win $35 total)
New York Yankees: 900 (bet $10 to win $100 total)
Philadelphia Phillies: +1000 (bet $10 to win $110 total)
Atlanta Braves: +1100 (bet $10 to win $120 total)
New York Mets: +1200 (bet $10 to win $130 total)
Texas Rangers: +1500 (bet $10 to win $160 total)
Baltimore Orioles: +1700 (bet $10 to win $180 total)
Houston Astros: +1800 (bet $10 to win $190 total)
Detroit Tigers: +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total)
Boston Red Sox: +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total)
Chicago Cubs: +2200 (bet $10 to win $230 total)
San Diego Padres: +2500 (bet $10 to win $260 total)
Kansas City Royals: +2500 (bet $10 to win $260 total)
Arizona Diamondbacks: +2800 (bet $10 to win $290 total)
Seattle Mariners: +2800 (bet $10 to win $290 total)
Minnesota Twins: +2800 (bet $10 to win $290 total)
Milwaukee Brewers: 4000 (bet $10 to win $410 total)
Tampa Bay Rays: +4500 (bet $10 to win $460 total)
Cleveland Guardians: +5500 (bet $10 to win $560 total)
Toronto Blue Jays: +6000 (bet $10 to win $610 total)
San Francisco Giants: +6500 (bet $10 to win $660 total)
Cincinnati Reds: +8000 (bet $10 to win $810 total)
St. Louis Cardinals: +13000 (bet $10 to win $1,310 total)
Pittsburgh Pirates: +17000 (bet $10 to win $1,710 total)

Shohei Ohtani is showing he deserves to play for the Dodgers

The Dodgers did not put a stop to their spending this offseason, putting the onus on their pitching rotation.

In November, they inked two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell to a five-year, $182 million deal. In January, Japanese pitching sensation Roki Sasaki announced that he would join the defending World Series champs.

Also in January, All-Star free-agent reliever Tanner Scott signed a four-year, $72 million deal with L.A, and in February, the Dodgers re-signed three-time Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw.

The wealthy get wealthier.

And with that, the Dodgers are favored to repeat as World Series champions.

Still, going back-to-back in professional baseball has proven difficult in the history of the sport, meaning, although the Dodgers are favored to repeat, it will by no means be easy.

The last time a team won consecutive World Series, the Yankees won three in a row from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, the Blue Jays repeated in 1993 after winning it all in 1992.

Arguably the most unique occurrence of consecutive titles happened between 1972 and 1978. The Athletics won three straight titles from 1972-1974, followed by the Reds going back-to-back in 1975 and 1976, before the Yankees won in 1977 and 1978.
