2025 NFL DPOY Odds: Parsons Lands in Top Spot After Packers Trade

It’s the beginning of the season, but football fans are ready to bet end-of-season awards.

And when it comes to Defensive Player of the Year, there is a new favorite face in a new place.

Let’s take a look at the odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Aug 28.

2025-26 NFL Defensive Player of the Year

Micah Parsons, Packers: +600 (bet $10 to win $70 total)
Aidan Hutchinson, Lions: +750 (bet $10 to win $85 total)
Myles Garrett, Browns: +850 (bet $10 to win $95 total)
T.J. Watt, Steelers: +950 (bet $10 to win $105 total)
Maxx Crosby, Raiders: +1300 (bet $10 to win $140 total)
Will Anderson Jr., Texans: +1300 (bet $10 to win $140 total)
Nick Bosa, 49ers: +1500 (bet $10 to win $160 total)
Jared Verse, Rams: +1500 (bet $10 to win $160 total)
Jalen Carter, Eagles: +2200 (bet $10 to win $230 total)
Trey Hendrickson, Bengals: +2200 (bet $10 to win $230 total)

Detroit’s Hutchinson opened as the favorite to be named DPOY, despite suffering a fractured tibia and fibula in Week 6 last season.

However, there’s a new name at the top of the oddsboard — and he’s a Packer.

Micah Parsons — who asked his way out of Dallas at the beginning of August and is now officially in Green Bay — logged at least 12 sacks and 40 tackles in each of his four seasons with the Cowboys.

Hutchinson is second after recording 7.5 sacks through five games last season.

Defensive end Myles Garrett checks in just behind Hutchinson after recording 14 sacks last year, the second-most in the league.

Pittsburgh star T.J. Watt sits fourth on the board, after finishing the 2024-25 NFL season with a league-best six forced fumbles and 11.5 sacks (tied for eighth). The 2021 DPOY was also a finalist last year but finished second in voting behind Denver cornerback Patrick Surtain II.
