2025 College Football Odds: Lines, Spreads for Marquee Week 1 Matchups

A walk-off field goal to wrap up Week 0?

We are so back.

With the first five FBS matchups of the 2025 college football season in the books, it’s time to preview some of Week 1’s biggest games.

Let’s check out some of the odds for a few marquee matchups at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Aug. 25.

(All times ET)

SATURDAY, AUG. 30

No. 1 Texas @ No. 3 Ohio State (12 p.m., FOX)

Point spread: Ohio State -1.5 (Ohio State favored to win by more than 1.5 points, otherwise Texas covers)
Moneyline: Ohio State -122 favorite to win (bet $10 to win $18.20 total); Texas +102 underdog to win (bet $10 to win $20.20 total)
Total scoring Over/Under: 47.5 points scored by both teams combined

What to know: Arguably the biggest game of the season takes place in Week 1, with the preseason No. 1 — as an underdog — traveling to take on the defending national champions. Both made it to the College Football Playoff last season, with the Buckeyes defeating the Longhorns in the semifinals.

Syracuse @ No. 24 Tennessee (12 p.m., ABC)

Point spread: Tennessee -14 (Tennessee favored to win by more than 14 points, otherwise Syracuse covers)
Moneyline: Tennessee -575 favorite to win (bet $10 to win $11.74 total); Syracuse +425 underdog to win (bet $10 to win $52.50 total)
Total scoring Over/Under: 50.5 points scored by both teams combined

What to know: Tennessee has a new quarterback after losing Nico Iamaleava to UCLA in the transfer portal. The Volunteers made it to the College Football Playoff last season, falling to Ohio State in the first round.

Clemson & Ohio State in Joel Klatt’s preseason CFP bracket

No. 9 LSU @ No. 4 Clemson (7:30 p.m., ABC)

Point spread: Clemson -4 (Clemson favored to win by more than 4 points, otherwise LSU covers)
Moneyline: Clemson -180 favorite to win (bet $10 to win $15.56 total); LSU +150 underdog to win (bet $10 to win $25 total)
Total scoring Over/Under: 57.5 points scored by both teams combined

What to know: The second of three top-10 matchups in Week 1. Clemson fell to Texas in the first round of the CFP last season, but are back with Cade Klubnik — a potential Heisman candidate — in his senior year.

No. 8 Alabama @ Florida State (3:30 p.m., ABC)

Point spread: Alabama -13.5 (Alabama favored to win by more than 13.5 points, otherwise Florida State covers)
Moneyline: Alabama -600 favorite to win (bet $10 to win $11.67 total); Florida State +440 underdog to win (bet $10 to win $54 total)
Total scoring Over/Under: 50.5 points scored by both teams combined

What to know: Alabama was 9-3 last regular season before losing to Michigan in the Reliaquest Bowl. It was considered an underwhelming rookie campaign for new coach Kalen DeBoer. How will the Tide bounce back in Year 2 without Nick Saban?

SUNDAY, AUG. 31

No. 6 Notre Dame @ No. 10 Miami (FL) (7:30 p.m., ABC)

Point spread: Notre Dame -2.5 (Notre Dame favored to win by more than 2.5 points, otherwise Miami covers)
Moneyline: Notre Dame -130 favorite to win (bet $10 to win $17.69 total); Miami +110 underdog to win (bet $10 to win $21 total)
Total scoring Over/Under: 49.5 points scored by both teams combined

What to know: The final top-10 matchup of the weekend pits last year’s championship runner-up on the road against a Miami program that went 10-2 in the regular season in 2024.
