FOX analyst Alex Rodriguez, better known as ‘A-Rod‘, a New York Yankees legend, considered that the clash between the Dodgers and Blue Jays for the World Series will be a clash of true baseball level. The former player highlighted the duel between Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Shohei Ohtani, putting the former on a pedestal above others, a judgment that did not sit well with the Bronx fans.

The Canadian team pulled off a comeback against Seattle that, for many, was unthinkable. The Blue Jays returned to Toronto to win their two home games at Rogers Centre on Sunday and Monday to win the Championship Series against the Mariners. Their star infielder, Vladimir Guerrero Jr, was named the American League Championship Series Most Valuable Player.

A-Rod describes Vladimir Guerrero Jr. as the best hitter in MLB

In the seven games, “Vladdy went 10-for-26 with three RBIs and three solo home runs for a 1.330 OPS. On Fox’s postgame broadcast Monday, Yankees legend Alex Rodriguez touted the Blue Jays-Dodgers matchup as a showdown between Guerrero and NLCS MVP winner Shohei Ohtani.

This team has the best athlete in the world in Shohei Ohtani

“It should be a dream World Series,” Rodriguez said. “You have the best team in the world in the Dodgers, and this is the healthiest this team has been in the last eight, nine years, the best they’ve been,” he said, adding: “This team has the best athlete in the world in Shohei Ohtani, and the Blue Jays have the best hitter in Vladimir Guerrero Jr.”

“Go home A-Rod, you’re drunk” – Yankees fans remember Aaron Judge

Fans did not agree with Alex Rodriguez’s opinion, who was unwilling to accept the Blue Jays first baseman as the best hitter, and many praised Aaron Judge (Yankees) as superior. “Go home Arod, you’re drunk,” said one fan. “Vlad is a great baseball player, but he’s not the best hitter,” wrote another fan; and finally: “With all due respect. Aaron Judge is a superior hitter.”

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. ready for the challenge with the Dodgers. “I was born here,” he said through interpreter Hector Lebron. “I grew up in the Dominican Republic, and from the moment I signed here, I knew I was going to be here for my entire career, I knew that somehow I had to make all the fans, the whole country, feel proud of me, of my team. And as I always say, my challenge is to bring the World Series here (Canada).”
