Paige Bueckers finished her first year in the league with the Dallas Wings, and despite Chris Koclanes’ team finishing in last place (10-34) and failing to qualify for the playoffs, the 23-year-old point guard was officially named WNBA Rookie of the Year.

However, her latest post in support of Lynx’s Napheesa Collier has caught the attention of fans.

Paige showed her support for Phee

During her exit interviews, Collier did not hide her annoyance with the league’s management, refereeing, and the economic conditions of the players, especially after suffering an ankle injury against the Phoenix Mercury and being eliminated from the playoffs:

We have the best league in the world. We have the best fans in the world. But we have the worst leadership in the world,” Napheesa told the press. “Year after year, the only thing that remains consistent is the lack of accountability from our leaders.”

In addition, the five-time All-Star also revealed a conversation with Commissioner Cathy Engelbert in which she pointed out how players such as Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Paige Bueckers, “who are clearly driving massive revenue for the league, are making so little for their first four years.” Napheesa shared that Cathy’s response implied that they were the ones who needed the league more: “Caitlin should be grateful she makes $16 million off the court because without the platform the WNBA gives her, she wouldn’t make anything.

Because of this and but for the impact and relevance of Collier’s words, Paige didn’t hesitate to share a photo with the Minnesota Lynx star on her Instagram stories, adding: “Queen Phee,” along with a crown emoji in an apparent show of support. She also set her story to the song “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan.

Meanwhile, she is ready to continue showcasing her talent in January at Unrivaled, the league co-founded in 2023 by Napheesa and Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty.
