After admitting that he played in the Big Game under heavy painkillers to alleviate the pain in his throwing shoulder, he revealed on Tuesday that he will not need surgery.

“Just get some time off. Time is the best healer,” Maye said. “Nothing that needs anything to be done. Just need some time away, time to get some rest and time away from football,” he added, according to CBS News.
In addition, Drake dispelled doubts and rumors that his pain was due to physical wear and tear and admitted that his pain did occur during the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos.
