The fight against injuries would be 100 percent over for the Los Angeles Dodgers and their pitching rotation would be impeccable for October, with a healthy team offering quality and consistency. This is according to an MLB expert, who claims that the Los Angeles team will be stronger than ever next month.

But October is not yet here and the Major League Baseball season is not yet over. In one of the most anticipated matchups of the final stretch of the 2025 MLB season, the Philadelphia Phillies (89-60) visit Los Angeles to face the Dodgers on September 15 at 10:10 p.m. ET

Yamamoto, Snell, Ohtani, Kershaw and Glasnow; the best Dodgers rotation

The starting pitchers were one of the most talked about aspects of the team. Los Angeles invested a fortune in signing Blake Snell, while Yoshinobu Yamamoto was entering his second full season in MLB. Tyler Glasnow was hoping to pitch a full season, while Clayton Kershaw was ready to return at some point.

Most notably, two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani was going to make his pitching debut for the Dodgers. While Glasnow and Snell missed significant time, the team is suddenly rounding into form. According to MLB expert Bob Nightengale, the Dodgers have the best rotation of any team heading into the playoffs.

“Their starting rotation has thrown the second-most innings in baseball since Aug. 1, with a 3.31 ERA. Their starting rotation of Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Blake Snell, Shohei Ohtani, Clayton Kershaw and Tyler Glasnow is now the best in baseball heading into October,” Nightengale wrote in USA Today.

Dodgers vs Phillies: How does each team arrive to this mega duel?

The Dodgers return home to begin an important three-game series against Philadelphia. The team is coming off two wins against the Giants and needs to keep winning to secure the division. The Phillies, meanwhile, have already secured a playoff berth and a win on Monday would ensure they are the National League East champions.

The Dodgers will face three left-handed pitchers in the three games against the Phillies. Ranger Suarez, Cristopher Sanchez and Jesus Luzardo will be the pitchers for this series at Dodger Stadium. Meanwhile, Emmet Sheehan, Shohei Ohtani and Blake Snell will be the Dodgers’ starters in this series.
