Tyrese Haliburton and Caitlin Clark are not only Indiana touchstones, but when they’re not defending Pacers and Fever colors respectively, they’re very good friends.

When the two-time NBA All-Star point guard suffered a torn Achilles tendon in the highly anticipated NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder, CC kept a close eye on his injury and was happy for his recent engagement to Jade Jones. Now, showing their good bond, Tyrese left Clark with a curious question.

Caitlin will have to decide

Ahead of Sunday’s game between Cyclones and the Hawkeyes at Jack Trice, Haliburton joined Fox Sports’ “Big Noon Kickoff” and shared on the show’s social media a video directed at the Fever star.

What’s up, y’all?” Haliburton said. “It’s Tyrese Haliburton here in Ames at Big Noon Kickoff. You know who I’m rocking with. I’m rocking with the Cyclones, of course,” he began.

That wasn’t all, however, but he put Clark in a tough spot to make her choose between the club where her brother played as a backup quarterback (Cyclones) or her alma mater:

I’m wondering who CC is rocking with? Since her brother played football here. Who knows who she is going for? I know I’m going with the ‘Clones. Go ‘Clones,” Haliburton finished, sowing doubt. Clark, however, has not made his position known.

Like the Pacers’ emerging playoff star, CC will miss the remainder of the WNBA season with Fever due to her lingering groin injury.

Meanwhile, with only two games remaining, her teammates will face the Washington Mystics on Sunday 7 at CFG Bank Arena Baltimore, and finish on Tuesday 9 against the Minnesota Lynx at home.

Meanwhile, Tyrese continues to make progress in his recovery and other aspects of his life. In late July, he borrowed the Gainbridge Fieldhouse Arena in Indianapolis, where he displays all his talents, to make his girlfriend of six years, Jade Jones, his wife. So when he returns to the field, he’ll do so as a committed man.
