The spotlight is once again on Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, but not for his performances on the field, but for the scandals surrounding his private life.
Hill’s offseason took a turn when his wife Keeta Vaccaro filed for divorce following a heated incident earlier this month.
Tyreek Hill’s new off-field incident
Reports suggest the receiver asked his wife Keeta and young daughter Capri to leave home during a heated domestic dispute, but Keeta Vaccaro has become maternal and serene.
While seeking exclusive rights to her condo and supervised visits for Hill, she posted a beautiful glimpse of baby Capri on Instagram.
In a recent post on her Instagram account, Keeta wrote: “Capri is safe and loved,” along with a photo of Capri, born on Thanksgiving Day 2024, sitting comfortably in a stroller.
Keeta’s post comes days after she filed for divorce from Hill, a year after their spontaneous wedding. And just a few months after the birth of Capri. According to court records and People’s report, the domestic dispute that triggered it occurred in April.
Tyreek Hill’s apparent violent background
This was not the first time Hill has made headlines for something like this.
In 2019, he was the subject of an extensive investigation for child abuse after his son Zev had his arm broken. Police went to his home in March 2019, and both he and his then-fiancee, Crystal Espinal, temporarily lost custody of their son as part of a “child in need of care” case. However, no charges were filed.
Keeta filed for divorce on April 8, 2025, just one day after police responded to an alleged domestic dispute at her 35th floor apartment in Sunny Isles Beach.
Keeta’s mother, Alesia Vaccaro, reportedly made the call, describing an “ongoing assault”.
When officers arrived, the scene was tense but showed no immediate signs of physical violence. Although both parties denied any aggression, police documented a bruise on the upper part of Keeta’s chest, who indicated that it might have occurred when Hill allegedly grabbed Capri during the argument.
In her emergency court filing, Keeta Vaccaro described Hill as “aggressive and impulsive”, and claimed he threw a laptop during the altercation.
He also claimed that the situation was exacerbated when Hill left the apartment with their young daughter, Capri, without his consent. She stayed away for two nights.
In the presentation, it also states: “The husband returned home and announced that he would take the baby, despite the wife’s objections”.
This is not the first time Hill has been involved in controversy. In 2014, he pleaded guilty to domestic violence after strangling his then-pregnant fiancee.
After his son’s arm was broken in 2019, a child abuse investigation did not press charges against him. More recently, in 2023, he faced a civil lawsuit from influencer Sophie Hall, who alleged that he broke her leg during a backyard football practice.
Now, new video footage has emerged that shows Hill on a balcony holding Capri during the dispute. Despite growing public concern, both the Miami Dolphins and the NFL have not issued any response.
