The Kelce family is always in the news, whether they want to be or not. It comes with the territory of being famous NFL players, but Travis Kelce put an extra spotlight on his relatives once he began dating Taylor Swift.
It was natural that brother Jason Kelce would also become a notable personality, especially since his podcast with Travis, “New Heights“, has been an immense success. But perhaps somewhat surprisingly, their mother, Donna Kelce, has turned into a celebrity simply by being herself.
Donna Kelce has appeared in advertisements and even hosted a bake-off contest for Pillsbury. Now, it seems like her daily tasks have taken on a life of their own and are capable of making major news. Last week, TMZ reported an “exclusive” story that Donna was remodeling her Florida home.

No one really understood why that was considered breaking news, but it has become a bit of a meme on social media. Even the New Heights social media account poked fun at it, as did Jason. On Tuesday, Travis joined the party in talking about it when he was asked by Pat McAfee about his thoughts on the matter. Travis couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
“I didn’t even know she was doing these things. If she needed a guy to screw some door hinges then she could’ve just called me. But I guess she’s doing a big, massive renovation.”
McAfee couldn’t help but be stunned that the Kelce family has reached a level where the two players’ mother is such a big talking point for a news outlet like TMZ. They’ve really come a long way.
