Travis Kelce has provided rare insight into his upcoming wedding to Taylor Swift, revealing a few key aspects of the couple’s nuptial plans after their engagement shocked the world.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end confirmed on his podcast that, unlike many weddings, they are “live music kind of people” and will forgo a DJ – relying on their own natural vocal talents.

The revelation comes after the 35-year-old spoke with Jimmy Fallon on the latest episode of the New Heights podcast which is hosted by Kelce, and his brother Jason – a former Super bowl champion.

“Yeah, I think we’re live music kind of people, you know?” Kelce said to Fallon, suggesting a preference for their own unserious performances over traditional DJ setups.

The couple has previously displayed their love for music publicly as back in September 2024, they sang together at the U.S. Open and fans will remember Kelce‘s cameo during the Eras Tour at Wembley in the UK.

Even earlier this year, Travis performed karaoke with his brother Jason at the American Century Championship, covering Bob Seger‘s 1978 classic Old Time Rock & Roll and Fallon asked Jason if seeing this performer side of his brother had been surprising.

“I’ve seen these [moves] all growing up,” Jason responded. “He’s always had this in his bag.

“He’s been a man of entertainment since the beginning. So this is not surprising.”

While Kelce and Swift have shared glimpses of their engagement, including Travis’ rose-covered garden proposal, the couple intends to keep their wedding private – a decision consistent with the rest of their relationship.

Whilst fans can spot PDAs from the pair, they’re not actually open about what they get up to and previously the NFL star would dodge questions when it came to the future of their romance.

It will definitely be a private affair and not a spectacle. They both have a close circle of friends, and they’ll respect their privacy,” an insider said to PEOPLE, in saddening news for the Swifties fanbase.

Super Bowl champion rips into Kelce after Eagles loss

Despite wedding excitement, Kelce’s performance on the field has recently drawn criticism as during the Kansas City Chiefs’ 20-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Kelce dropped a crucial pass at the goal line.

That ultimately resulted in an interception against Patrick Mahomes, who had targeted Kelce in the red zone early in the fourth quarter; but the pass bounced off his hands and into Andrew Mukuba‘s possession.

Following the turnover, the Eagles scored a touchdown to take a 20-10 lead, which ultimately put the game out of reach. The Chiefs did manage a late touchdown to close the gap to 20-17 but never regained possession.

Despite this setback, Kelce remains focused on both his on-field performance and upcoming wedding plans, balancing high public expectations in both arenas.

Following that, the Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe harshly criticized Kelce‘s execution during a recent episode of Nightcap with Chad Ochocinco.

“Kelce has been lazy,” Sharpe said. “He’s getting lazy with his head and he’s getting lazy with his eyes. He knows in that area of the field, he has to snap his head. He knows, I don’t know why he is so lazy with his head.

“There is nobody inside, and Blankenship has got you manned. Why are you so lazy? Your head, you have got to snap it around, you know that.

“And you took points off the board. In other words, you don’t get points and they go down and they get points.”
