Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has entered the offseason balancing personal downtime with fiancée Taylor Swift and bonding trips with NFL friends – San Francisco 49ers pair George Kittle and Kyle Juszczyk – showing how elite athletes juggle life off the field.

Kelce and Swift appeared at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards, where he cheered her in the front row as she won seven awards, including Album of the Year and Artist of the Year.

During Swift‘s first acceptance speech, Kelce mouthed, “I love you,” after she dedicated her award to his contributions, highlighting their close relationship.

A few days later Swift attended Paul McCartney‘s Fonda Theater show without Kelce, who instead flew to Oregon for a boys’ golf trip with NFL teammates.

Oregon outings included golf at Bandon Dunes with Kittle, Juszczyk, Robert Tonyan, and others, with Kittle posting, “Bandon Boys ft…,” and Juszczyk commenting, “All time trip,”

Kelce‘s golf passion extends to skipping the Pro Bowl to compete in the WM Phoenix Open pro-am alongside Scottie Scheffler and Brooks Koepka, proving his offseason doesn’t just consist of reps on the field or lifting weights in the gym.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce prepare for busy 2026

Despite golf trips and public appearances, Kelce and Swift are planning a wedding reportedly set for June 13 at Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.

The couple are also set to jet off on a three-week honeymoon in Australia, the Bahamas, Italy, France, Croatia, Greece, Singapore and Australia later this year.

It continues the progression of their relationship that began with a playful 2023 Eras Tour encounter in Kansas City.

Their romance grew privately after that encounter, with Swift first attending a Chiefs game in September 2023, confirming their relationship.

Over time, public appearances, award shows, and social media posts solidified them as a top-tier celebrity-athlete couple with widespread media attention.

On the professional side, Kelce signed a three-year extension with Kansas City, keeping him under contract through 2026, with the total value reported between $54.7 million and $57.7 million depending on incentives.

The deal includes $12 million guaranteed in the first year and performance bonuses with the Chiefs holding void or “poison pill” years to spread the salary cap hit while giving flexibility, ensuring Kelce can stay with the Chiefs in 2026.

More NFL for Kelce as retirement put on hold

He and the team retain the ability to renegotiate or retire without long-term financial restrictions, balancing fiscal security with cap space freedom at the Arrowhead Stadium.

In the 2025 regular season, Travis Kelce caught 76 passes for 851 receiving yards, averaging 11.2 yards per catch while playing in all 17 games.

He also scored five receiving touchdowns, showing he remained a productive target in the Chiefs‘ offense and Patrick Mahomes, despite team struggles.

Off the field, Kelce has cultivated a high-profile public presence with Swift, attending award shows and media events in the public glare.

It not only demonstrates the couple’s ability to mix their personal life milestones with his sports success, but the pride they have in celebrating each other.
