The Aaron Rodgers saga has entered another chapter, and now the leading team in the story appears to be the Miami Dolphins. The legendary NFL quarterback has yet to give an answer to the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are still waiting for him to take command of their offense in the 2025 season. But true to his style, the former Green Bay Packers and New York Jets player continues to stay silent.

The Steelers might end up waiting in vain-just like the Minnesota Vikings, who haven’t officially named J.J. McCarthy as their starter for the upcoming season. This has sparked rumors that Minnesota might be considering bringing Rodgers in for at least one year.

However, unexpectedly, the Miami Dolphins have emerged as another key player in the race for Aaron Rodgers-and it actually makes a lot of sense. But a locker room with Tua Tagovailoa, rookie Quinn Ewers, and Rodgers could be a ticking time bomb.

The prediction that would send Rodgers to the Dolphins

The scenario placing Aaron Rodgers as a candidate for the Miami Dolphins hinges on Tua Tagovailoa’s biggest issue-his injury-prone nature, despite his undeniable talent.

It will be tough for Rodgers to land with the Dolphins, given that Miami gave Tua a four-year, $212 million contract, with $161.2 million guaranteed. That makes it unlikely the franchise would pursue a quarterback who might overshadow Tagovailoa.

Still, Mitchel Milani of Bleacher Report predicted that the Dolphins could sign quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

“Tua Tagovailoa is the most injury-prone and frequently unreliable quarterback in football. Aaron Rodgers could replace him, play alongside Tyreek Hill and Jalen Waddle, and retire in Florida,” he said.

It may be hard to imagine Rodgers signing with the Dolphins during training camp, but if Tagovailoa were to get injured again during the regular season and Rodgers were available, Miami would instantly become a top candidate to bring in the controversial quarterback.
