Within the New York Giants, they must be well aware that the matchup they will face against the Philadelphia Eagles will be entirely different from their last encounter, where they managed to secure a victory. In fact, one of the big questions right now is whether their rookie quarterback, Jaxson Dart, has recovered from a painful loss to Denver, and above all, whether he can handle the pressure of the home team.

The former Ole Miss player made mistakes last week, but the New York Giants haven’t lost faith in the bet they made in the last Draft, and so far, he has been the best rookie at his position.

The unwavering faith in Jaxson Dart within the Giants

This is confirmed by assistant head coach/offensive coordinatorMike Kafka, who stated that confidence in Dart remains fully intact. This is particularly striking because it took them several weeks to give him a chance, until they realized that with Russell Wilson, they weren’t going anywhere.

“Just for the simple fact that I know he’s going to come back and do it again and go back and make that play,” Kafka said Thursday.

“He’s done it, he’s proven that he can do it. And I don’t really second-guess the call; I don’t have any regrets over it. Besides the fact that it got picked, it’s one of those things that happens in football.”

“Jaxson does a great job,” Kafka added. “It starts with his preparation, just identifying his keys that we go through, man coverage IDs, zone coverage IDs. And then on top of that, it’s putting together a good plan for him so that he can go execute.

The New York Giants visit the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field, where they haven’t won a game since October 27, 2013, accumulating 12 straight losses since then. This is a completely negative statistic for a team looking to find a winning formula this very season.

The Giants defeated the Eagles 34-17 two weeks ago, but 17 days later, they will face off in a completely different atmosphere. It remains to be seen how Jaxson Dart will react to this environment.
