2025 looks like it will be the year of the Buffalo Bills-unless the ghosts return once again in January. Those ghosts are the Kansas City Chiefs, who have defeated Josh Allen and company time and time again in the playoffs. However, this year there can be no excuses-it’s Super Bowl or failure.
Since joining the Bills, Josh Allen-outside of his rookie season-has always led the Bills to the playoffs. They’ve also won the AFC East five years in a row, but now none of that will be enough. Fans want the Super Bowl this year, no matter what.
Bills Mafia hasn’t enjoyed a Super Bowl game since 1993-over 30 years have gone by. With Josh Allen, they’ve come very close, especially in two recent conference championships, but both ended in losses to Patrick Mahomes and company.
The Bills have everything it takes to reach the top this season
NFL Media writer Adam Rank and senior director of content Ali Bhanpuri made projections within the AFC, and one of them is that the Buffalo Bills will finish in first place in the conference. That would mean all of the playoffs would run through Buffalo’s home field.
“After playing in the Wild Card Round six straight years, the Bills need the No. 1 seed this year. They need it,” Rank said in an NFL.com article.
Meanwhile, Bhanpuri mentioned that the Bills practically have everything to reach the Super Bowl. There should not be a single excuse.
“They have Allen, the current MVP, and although they haven’t exactly surrounded him with a large number of receivers, they recently extended James Cook,” said Bhanpuri. “And they improved defensively. Buffalo is finally ready to make the leap.”
So 2025 will be a decisive year for the Buffalo Bills, but especially for Josh Allen. If he fails to reach the Super Bowl, it will undoubtedly generate even more pressure, which will be difficult to recover from. It’s going to be an interesting season.
