The freshman secured a dominant decision in the Class A 106-pound final, defeating Grand Island’s Riley Pedersen by a 13-1 margin. His father was present throughout the entire event, cheering from the stands, constantly on his feet, visibly emotional as he watched his son walk away victorious.

Known worldwide for his intensity in the ring, the undefeated multi-division champion showed a completely different side, one defined by fatherhood.
