It’s not easy to move on from a season that fell short of expectations, but if Coachella is on the calendar, it can soften the blow. Even more when it turns into “Bieberchella.” The good news for Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors is that retirement is not part of the conversation anytime soon, which at least gives fans something to hold on to after a difficult ending.
Instead of staying in the shadow of elimination, Curry shifted gears quickly. He was spotted at Coachella alongside his wife, Ayesha Curry, stepping into a different setting just days after the Warriors’ season-ending loss.
From playoff pressure to festival lights
Curry was at Coachella watching Justin Bieber’s set, and clips of him in the crowd quickly started circulating online. The change of pace was clear, going from playoff intensity to a more relaxed setting with music and family.
Ayesha also drew attention during the outing, standing out alongside Curry and showing their presence off the court. Their appearance became part of the conversation around how players unwind after the season, especially after a year that didn’t meet expectations.
A different kind of spotlight
The Warriors’ exit still lingers in the background. For a team led by Curry, expectations remain high every year, and this run didn’t match that level. Even so, moments like Coachella show a different side of the league’s biggest names, where time away from the game becomes part of the process.
Curry did have something to celebrate. At 38, he had a fantastic season when he was on the court – 26.6 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game – but he missed 39 regular season games so there’s plenty to look forward.
Curry looked comfortable in that setting, taking a break before turning the focus back to basketball. The offseason has just started, and while this was a change of pace, the next step for him and the Warriors is already ahead.
