If there’s one thing Sophie Cunningham stood out for in her first year with the Indiana Fever, it was her competitive spirit, her energy, and, above all, her sense of humor.

Now, she gracefully answered a question from her teammate, Caitlin Clark, about her connection to Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and multi-award-winning singer Taylor Swift.

Cunningham delegates responsibility to Clark

Despite continuing her recovery from the MCL tear in her right knee that forced her to end her season in August, and taking advantage of the WNBA off-season, Sophie continues to demonstrate her good humor.

Recently, the former Phoenix Mercury player answered which celebrities she would like to see at Fever games in an interview with Page Six. Justin and Hailey Bieber, Will Ferrell and Jim Carrey, Cody Johnson, Morgan Wallen, and Riley Green were her choices.

Sophie was also asked if the Chiefs TE and his fiancée would be attending a Fever game, to which she revealed an unknown situation: the couple had planned to attend a game this season, but ultimately were unable to do so.

However, given her teammate Caitlin Clark’s good relationship with Kelce and Swift, Sophie argued: “You’re asking the wrong girl,” Cunningham said. “You’ve got to get Caitlin out here asking those questions because we would love to have [Travis and Taylor] at a Fever game.”

Clark has repeatedly shown her support for Taylor Swift’s fiancé and his team, and in fact, she let him know on the “New Heights” podcast that Travis hosts with his brother Jason when she was a guest last year. She also recently shared the family box with the multi-award-winning artist and the Chiefs star’s family.

The last time CC was at a Kansas City game was on October 12 when the Chiefs faced the Detroit Lions, and she brought them luck as they won 30-17. She is also a true “Swiftie,” having attended several concerts on the “Eras Tour,” Taylor’s successful tour that reviewed her professional career in a nearly three-hour show. This is why Sophie believes Clark could be the key to getting Travis and Taylor to attend a Fever game.

Meanwhile, CC could return to Arrowhead Stadium. Although the Chiefs are playing away against the Denver Broncos this Sunday, November 16, Kansas City’s next game will be special.

Travis and his team will face the Fever’s home NFL team, the Indianapolis Colts, on Sunday the 23rd. Will Clark be there?
