The transition from college to professional football hasn’t been easy for Shedeur Sanders. Despite an impressive preseason, the former Colorado star didn’t secure the starting position with the Cleveland Browns, prompting his brother Shilo to come up with a bold plan to confront head coach Kevin Stefanski.

Since the summer, with four top-tier quarterbacks vying for the starting job, and until the shakeup two weeks ago, the Browns’ quarterback room has been the most unstable in the NFL this season.

Ahead of the Week 5 game, with a 3-1 record, Stefanski decided to bench veteran Joe Flacco and place rookie Dillon Gabriel under center, with lackluster results so far.

Last week, Flacco was traded to the Cincinnati Bengals, promoting Shedeur from third in the string to Gabriel’s backup. However, that’s not enough for Shilo.

“Shedeur” seeks out Stefanski to claim him

Since their days with the Colorado Buffaloes, Deion Sanders’s sons have been very close. However, Shilo took their relationship a little too far with a clever prank on his brother this weekend.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, Shilo can be seen “dressed up” as Shedeur, walking through the halls of Huntington Bank Field, asking fans where to find Stefanski.

“Where is Stefanski at? I’m trying to get on the team,” Shilo asks fans. Some immediately recognize him and laugh at the joke, while others try to take a picture with him.

Finally, the two brothers meet, and Shilo jokes with his younger brother, saying, “You did good today, bro. You were like three thoughts away from getting in.”

What is Shedeur’s status?

Gabriel hasn’t had any more luck than Flacco at the helm of the Browns’ offense. The rookie has two consecutive losses and seems unlikely to be able to pull the team out of the crisis it’s in.

Although the Browns’ poor performance isn’t entirely the players’ fault, the pressure could force Stefanski to attempt another change of direction, benching Gabriel and trying Shedeur instead.

Another possibility is that the front office grows tired of the poor results and fires the head coach. This would return the team to square one, opening a new opportunity for Shedeur, much to Shilo’s delight.
