Just as soon as Shedeur Sanders‘ hype train was well and truly rolling, it came to a harsh halt. After delivering an impressive performance in his Cleveland Browns debut, Sanders picked up an injury during a midweek practice that put his playing status in question. It was a tough pill to swallow right as the rookie had made huge progress.

From the sound of it, Sanders’ injury isn’t overly serious. But it comes at a brutal time, with fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel reportedly set to come back from his own injury to start the second preseason game.
