LeBron James took to Instagram on Friday to express his admiration for his wife, Savannah James. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar shared a video of himself reading an article about Savannah and her friend April McDaniel on Essence while on a flight.

In the video, the four-time NBA champion can be seen scrolling through the article on his iPad, even zooming in on Savannah‘s picture to highlight his pride. James made it clear that this was more than just an article-it was a celebration of his wife’s success.

“My inflight reading material!” James wrote in the caption.

“Love you queen!!”

“Beyond Happy and Proud of you guys!! Keep killing it!”

Savannah James’ rising influence

Savannah, alongside her friend April McDaniel, co-hosts the podcast ‘Everybody’s Crazy,’ which they launched in April 2023. Since its debut, the podcast has gained significant attention, establishing both Savannah and McDaniel as influential voices in the entertainment and lifestyle space.

This recent feature on Essence is not the first time Savannah has been recognized on a major platform. She has also made notable appearances on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ and ‘Tamron Hall Show,’ where she has spoken about her journey and impact in empowering women.

In a past interview, the Lakers icon credited Savannah for being the foundation that allowed him to pursue his legendary basketball career.

“Savannah has allowed me to basically be as great as I wanted to be with my career and my journey because she knew I wanted to be the greatest of all-time,” James said. “Savannah allowed me to do that by basically saying, ‘I got this at the house. Don’t worry about it. I got it’.”

The confrontation with Stephen A. Smith

After the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks, a notable incident occurred involving James and ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith. The confrontation took place courtside, drawing significant attention from fans and media alike.

LeBron James approached Stephen A. Smith during the game, expressing his displeasure over comments Smith had made about his son, Bronny James. Smith later recounted the encounter, stating: “That wasn’t a basketball player confronting me. That was a parent… [LeBron] clearly took exception to some of the things I said.”
