Savannah James, wife of NBA superstar LeBron James, stunned in a custom Hanifa gown, attending the 2025 Met Gala without her husband by her side due to his knee injury and the Lakers‘ early playoff exit.

Though Savannah carried herself with confidence and style, she later revealed the nerves beneath her calm exterior.

“It was so nerve-wracking,” Savannah confessed to People. “I just did not want to fall down the stairs!”

Without LeBron to walk the carpet with her, Savannah admitted she turned to calming techniques like square breathing to ease her anxiety.

While she lit up the Met Gala on her own, there was an unmistakable sense that something was missing.

The absence of her husband made headlines, and fans speculated about when the iconic duo would reunite for their next public appearance.

LeBron and Savannah reunite in unmatched elegance

Their reemergence as a couple finally came at the Hammer Museum Gala in the Garden-and it was well worth the wait.

With LeBron back at her side, Savannah exuded poise and power, proving once again why they are one of the most stylish and admired couples in entertainment and sports.

Savannah‘s fashion choices spoke volumes. She wore a flowing black pleated Issey Miyake dress that shimmered with movement and minimalism.

The semi-sheer design played with light and structure in a way that only Miyake’s signature craftsmanship can deliver.

In her hand, she carried a sculptural Hermes handbag featuring a bold gold handle-less of an accessory and more of a statement piece worthy of a design exhibit.

But perhaps the most talked-about element of her ensemble was her footwear including the iconic Giuseppe Zanotti “Venus” sandals. Wrapped in black suede and crowned with gold metallic coils, the heels echoed ancient goddess imagery.

First introduced in 2012 and reissued in 2020 as part of Zanotti‘s “Icons Project,” the Venus sandals elevated Savannah-literally and figuratively-onto a new level of red carpet elegance.
