NASHVILLE, Tenn. — During a break in 11-on-11 drills at Friday’s joint practice between the Titans and Seahawks, the quarterbacks from both teams gathered in the middle field at the Vanderbilt Health Football Center.
Before Sam Darnold could even complain about the heat — mid 80s, plus humidity — Tennessee’s QBs essentially thanked the Seahawks for the reprieve.
“They’re like, ‘Oh, it’s a beautiful day! You brought the cool weather with you,’” Darnold said post-practice, laughing and shaking his head in disbelief.
That pretty much summed up how the defending Super Bowl champions felt in the muggy heat, much different from the cool weather…
