It’s hard to remember a player as polarizing as Shedeur Sanders is right now. The young quarterback has all the attention of fans and the media, which creates a lot of pressure on the shoulders of a player who is just 23 years old.

Shedeur has stolen the spotlight, but what happened to him in the recent Draft still has no clear explanation-and it seems like it never will. According to analysts, the Tyler, Texas native was considered a first-round pick, and most of us thought so-except for the NFL teams, who passed on him until the Browns selected him in the fifth round.

Now Shedeur is competing for a roster spot along with three other quarterbacks on the Browns: veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett, as well as rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders himself. According to leaked reports, Sanders has looked good in Cleveland.

Robert Griffin III has defended Shedeur Sanders

The former NFL quarterback who stood out during his rookie season with the then-Washington Redskins, Robert Griffin III, is currently one of the most popular NFL and NCAA analysts. He has consistently voiced his support for Shedeur Sanders.

In one of his latest posts on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Griffin III shared a video of Shedeur Sanders and explained why the former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback was considered a first-round pick.

It’s highly likely that Joe Flacco, thanks to his experience and the fact that he’s entering his 18th NFL season, will be the starter at the beginning of the season. However, if his performance dips, Shedeur Sanders will be the top candidate to take over.

Let’s remember that Sanders is coming off a great season at Colorado-his last in the NCAA-where he totaled 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He also led the nation in completion percentage, completing 74% of his passes.
