Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany, co-owner of the Kansas City Current, traded Arrowhead Stadium for the gleaming CPKC Stadium, the new home of their NWSL team, and turned a family visit into a heartwarming event.

Wearing matching KC Current gear, the Mahomes family made a sunny afternoon unforgettable. Sterling and Bronze ran around the sidelines with a soccer ball, while baby Golden charmed onlookers in a red bow and tiny team onesie.

The images offered both fans and media a welcome glimpse into their closely knit and joyful family life.

Amid this picture-perfect scene, Patrick couldn’t resist injecting a bit of lighthearted humor. After Brittany shared the photos on Instagram, he cheekily commented on the food crumbs stuck in his beard, a small, relatable moment from one of the NFL’s most glamorous families.

“Can you get the food out my beard next time please?” he wrote.

That playful one-liner was a reminder that despite their fame and polished public image, the Mahomeses still embrace the everyday quirks and humor of parenting.

Brittany is the heart behind a growing women’s soccer powerhouse

Brittany’s spotlight moment is well-earned. A former college soccer standout and certified fitness trainer, she transitioned into entrepreneurship and advocacy, founding and co-owning the Kansas City Current team alongside Patrick and high-profile investors Chris and Angie Long.

Her leadership helped bring the sport’s first purpose-built stadium to life, turning CPKC Stadium into a thrilling hub for women’s soccer in Kansas City.

The couple’s journey together is rooted in long-time companionship and mutual support. High school sweethearts from Whitehouse, Texas, they’ve been partners on both personal and professional fronts.

Patrick officially joined the Current‘s ownership in 2023, becoming the first active NFL player to do so in the NWSL.

Family, timing, and teamwork

Their devotion to family is evident in more ways than state-of-the-art stadiums and successful investments.

When baby Golden arrived on January 12, she made a dramatic entrance at the perfect time, the start of the Chiefs’ playoff bye week.

Brittany executed her own championship-worthy move by giving birth in between games, allowing Patrick to fully participate without missing a snap.

“Golden was born on January 12th, it worked out perfectly. … Brittany crushed it. I was watching playoff games the entire day. She went into labor after one game, the baby was here before the next game, so I didn’t even miss a playoff game,” Patrick recounted, marveling at his wife’s timing and strength.
