The NFL is the one that has forced Patrick Mahomes to change his game. Or at least that’s what we have seen over the years with the Quarterback who went from throwing and having a high effectiveness with long passes to being a littleless agressive with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Against this backdrop, it was the same NFL account that reminded us how the former Texas Tech player had a tremendous cannon on his arm, or at least back then he used it more.
Eight years ago we saw Patrick Mahomes’ cannon
This is how they have remembered it on the official Instagram account, the QB of the Kansas City Chiefs executing a pass to the back of 80 yards, yes… you read that right, 80 yards!
“It’s been 8 years since @patrickmahomes wowed scouts with this rocket,” the league wrote in a video where Mahomes is seen making a pass in what was his Pro Day before coming to the NFL.
To the misfortune of every fan of this sport, both Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have changed their style of play, and we can say that it has happened since the departure of Tyreek Hill from the organization that generated a separation from another planet.
But there is no doubt that it is great to see how the Quarterback did it eight years ago, and how he has grown in the high competition, to the point of being present in five of the last six Super Bowls.
