Paige Spiranac has never needed much help attracting attention on a golf course, but her latest red outfit appears to have struck a particular chord with fans.
The former professional golfer and social-media personality shared a new course photo this week that quickly drew a flood of compliments, with several followers describing the look as one of her strongest ever.
“This is your best look of all-time,” one fan wrote. Another added: “Stunning as always, but this one is at another level.” A third simply called it “scarlet purr-fection.”
The response fits a familiar pattern around Spiranac, whose golf fashion has been debated almost as much as her content.
What makes the reaction more notable is that Spiranac has spent years explaining why she has never had much interest in following the sport’s more traditional dress expectations.
Her approach, Spiranac has said, started long before she became an influencer.
Style came from gymnastics, not golf
Spiranac previously told Sports Illustrated that her comfort with fitted athletic clothing dates back to her childhood as a gymnast.
“I was a gymnast before I switched into golf,” Spiranac said. “I was so comfortable wearing spandex and very little of it because that’s just what you wear when you’re wearing a leotard and you’re competing.”
When Spiranac later moved into golf, she said her family wasn’t in a position to buy an entirely new wardrobe specifically for the sport.
“So, I wore what was in my closet, which was workout clothes,” Spiranac said. “That’s just how I learned to play the game.”
That background helped shape a style that has occasionally clashed with golf’s more conservative culture.
“They’ll have really intense discussions over if they should wear shorts or pants or a blade collar or a real collar and I’m just out here just in tank tops or spandex and people are like ‘What are you doing?’” Spiranac said. “But I love it.”
Confidence always part of the message
Spiranac has also credited her mother with helping shape the way she thinks about clothes and body confidence.
“Fun fact my mother was a professional ballet dancer and modeled after,” Spiranac previously wrote on Instagram. “We both grew up wearing leotards and she raised me to feel comfortable in my skin.
“I was never told what I could or couldn’t wear. They only cared about who I was on the inside and how I treated other people.”
Spiranac’s content now stretches beyond golf into fitness, lifestyle and entertainment, but her on-course posts still tend to generate the biggest reactions. The latest red outfit was another example.
Spiranac has spent years arguing that golf clothes should come down to confidence and comfort rather than rigid expectations. Her fans seem to have made their verdict on this particular look very clear.
