Oscar De La Hoya’s divorce settlement has resulted in a substantial real estate transfer, with his former wife, Milagros “Millie” Corretjer, receiving full ownership of two properties in Puerto Rico valued at a combined $13.5 million.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Corretjer was awarded both properties as part of the former couple’s confidential divorce judgment. The latest filing does not alter the terms of their settlement but formally clears the way for the properties to be transferred into Corretjer’s name.
The two properties include a residence in San Juan assigned a value of $3.5 million and another property at the Bahia Beach Resort in Rio Grande valued at $10 million. Under the agreement, both properties became Corretjer’s sole and separate property, meaning De La Hoya has no remaining claim to either one.
Why the properties were awarded to Millie Corretjer
The court filing was necessary because Puerto Rico requires a certified court order to complete the transfer of real estate following a divorce. The documents therefore provide additional clarity about one part of a settlement whose broader financial terms remain private. De La Hoya and Corretjer finalized their divorce settlement in 2025, ending a marriage that had lasted more than two decades.
Although the couple had been separated for years, their legal divorce process took considerably longer to complete. The $13.5 million in Puerto Rico real estate represents one of the few publicly disclosed elements of their confidential agreement.
A marriage that was always under the spotlight
De la Hoya and Corretjer first met in 2000 and married in October 2001. The couple went on to have three children together: one son and two daughters. Their relationship eventually came to an end, however. The couple separated in 2016, and De la Hoya did not formally file for divorce until January 2023.
The divorce was ultimately settled in 2025, with the remaining terms kept confidential. The latest court filing essentially handles the administrative work necessary to implement the real estate portion of that agreement. The properties awarded to Corretjer add another dimension to the enormous wealth accumulated by De la Hoya during and after his legendary boxing career.
The Mexican American fighter became one of the most recognizable boxers of his generation, winning world titles in six weight classes and earning the nickname “The Golden Boy.” De la Hoya retired from boxing in 2009 with a professional record of 39-6 and 30 knockouts.
His career inside the ring was followed by an equally significant role as a promoter through Golden Boy Promotions, which he founded in 2002. That business helped De la Hoya remain one of the most influential figures in boxing long after his own fighting career ended.
