Olivia Dunne is always keeping her social media followers updated with various details from her life, and more often than not, her dog Roux is the star of the show.
The Louisiana State University gymnastics star likes to share Tiktoks and Instagram videos of her practicing in the gym, and her latest TikTok shows how obsessed her golden retriever Roux really is with her.
In the shore five-second clip, Dunne performs the splits perfectly and Roux seems to jump for joy, whilst Dunne has a big smile on her face.
Fans might assume that her MLB pitcher boyfriend Paul Skenes is the person she enjoys training with most, but clearly it is Roux.
Olivia Dunne’s relationship with dogs
In July 2024, Dunne and Roux took on a project together as they starred in an episode of the just-released Purina Pro Plan docuseries ‘Fueled By’.
“I think this is super cool what Pro Plan is doing,” Dunne said.
“For every view of the Fueled By docuseries, between now and the end of October, Pro Plan will donate $1 (up to $150,000) to Athletes for Animals to help animals with no home find a home, and I think that is amazing. I’m just super honored to be partnered with Pro Plan.”
Dunne also spoke to Country Life at the time about her long-term bond with dogs.
“I’ve always been a dog person,” Dunne said. “We had a family dog growing up. Her name was Biscuit, and she was a golden retriever. I was homeschooled growing up, so she was my best friend.”
Her and Skenes then decided later in life to get a dog of their own.”We just wanted a dog that gave us unconditional love, and that’s what we got. So Roux is super special to us,” Dunne said.
