The 2026 NFL season is fully underway. After a long offseason filled with a lot of major moves, the new season got started last Wednesday, with the week’s slate concluding on Monday night.
Monday Night Football provided everyone with a stark reminder: The Kansas City Chiefs are still the Kansas City Chiefs, whether Patrick Mahomes is at the top of his game or not. Somewhat written off this summer, the Chiefs trounced their AFC West rivals, the Denver Broncos, 31-10.
Power Rankings for Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season
Right before the Chiefs picked up their big win, the Dallas Cowboys got off to a much different start. They couldn’t hang with their own division rivals, the New York Giants, and showed similar weaknesses to last season’s team. Unsurprisingly, the Chiefs and Cowboys are two of the biggest movers – in opposite directions – following Week 1 in the power rankings.
