For the first time in the franchise history of the Miami Marlins, they managed to sweep the Yankees, and they seized the moment to mock the visiting team by playing a song associated with their archrival, the Boston Red Sox.

Three outs before sealing a 7-3 victory on Sunday, “Sweet Caroline” blared through LoanDepot Park, as reported by journalist Daniel Álvarez on X.

The Miami Marlins are the only team in MLB history without a losing record against the Yankees in the regular season. They hold an overall positive record, including their victory in the 2003 World Series.

The Yankees now sit in third place in the American League East, 4.5 games behind the leader, Toronto Blue Jays, and trailing the second-place Boston Red Sox.
