“That brotha needs help.”

That was the prevailing sentiment across social media on Saturday night as NBA fans wasted no time mocking Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green following his swift ejection from a high-stakes clash against the Phoenix Suns.

The veteran, whose career has been punctuated by similar outbursts, faced a barrage of criticism from a weary fanbase, with many labeling him as “incapable of being professional” and claiming the ejection was well-deserved.

“This dude won’t ever chill out,” one fan noted, echoing the frustration of thousands as the controversial star headed to the locker room just eight minutes into the game.

The drama unfolded at Chase Center when the former Defensive Player of the Year drew his first technical foul for ramming into Suns’ guard Collin Gillespie.

Green’s absence ignited the Warriors’ response

The situation escalated rapidly when Green gestured toward an official and continued to “jaw” at the officiating crew, leading to an immediate second technical and an early exit. Green left the floor with a stat line of four points, three rebounds, and one assist on 2-of-2 shooting.

At the time of Green’s departure, the Warriors appeared to be in deep trouble, trailing 47-37. However, the ejection seemed to spark a fire under the Golden State roster.

The Warriors managed to trim the Phoenix lead to just four points with 3:36 remaining in the half and entered the locker room trailing by only three.

Curry led Golden State to victory

Returning from the break, Golden State adjusted their defensive scheme to compensate for Green’s absence, outscoring the Suns 29-20 in a pivotal third quarter. Despite a late 29-26 push from Phoenix in the final frame, the Warriors held on for a 119-116 win.

Stephen Curry led the charge for the Warriors, putting up a stellar 28 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. On the other side of the ball, Devin Booker was an offensive powerhouse for the Suns, finishing with a game-high 38 points, though it wasn’t enough to overcome the resilient Golden State squad.

With the victory, the Warriors leveled their season record at 14-15. They now look ahead to a busy week as they prepare to face the Orlando Magic, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Toronto Raptors.
