Toronto Blue Jays fans will have a bitter Christmas. Along with the disappointment of losing the World Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers in seven games, there is also the anger at the news that Milwaukee Brewers’ Pat Murphy and Cleveland Guardians’ Stephen Vogt were named managers of the year. They believe that MLB is unfair to John Schneider and, therefore, they believe that the league “hates” the Canadian team.
For the fans, it was clear that Schneider deserved the award over Vogt in the American League. First of all, because he was able to reverse the last place in his division in the 2024 season to be the first in the 2025 campaign. In their opinion, this surprising turnaround deserves recognition because they did it with the same squad and coaching staff with which they failed the previous year.
