It is a tradition in the month of August to watch the Little League World Series. This 2025 edition begins on August 13 and promises, as always, a schedule full of good plays, emotions and future big leaguers.

The defending champion, Lake Mary, will not be present. So the stage is set for a new monarch to emerge from Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Schedule and format for the 2025 Little League World Series

The venue for the event, as always, will be the complex at Little League’s headquarters in South Williamsport.

The games will be held at two venues: Howard J. Lamade and Volunteer stadiums. There we will see parents cheering, TV cameras, children competing. A complete hotbed of sun, baseball and flavor

There are 20 teams –10 from the United States and 10 international– under a modified double-elimination system. Games last six innings, with special rules for extra innings.

Start of the bracket: Wednesday, August 13.

  • Entry of teams from Canada, the Caribbean, Northwest and West: Friday, August 15.
  • Elimination phase for teams with one loss: August 16-19.
  • Eight teams remaining in contention: Tuesday, August 20.
  • National and International Finals: Saturday, August 23 (12:30 p.m. ET and international; 3:30 p.m. ET, United States).
  • World Championship Final: Sunday, August 24, 3 p.m. ET (ABC).
  • Consolation game: Sunday, August 24, 10 a.m. ET (ESPN2).

  • World final (3 p.m. ET) on ABC.
