No doubt, getting a handshake from your favorite player would be every fan’s ideal scenario, but getting him to have a personalized handshake with you would simply be a dream come true.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is known for greeting his teammates and coaches differently. This gesture dates back a long time and even, he still keeps them, like Kyrie Irving to name a few.

However, one of his teammates is yet to receive this warm gesture from LBJ. Teammate Luka Doncic is still waiting for LeBron to grant him a differential salute and he made this known in his recent interview with Spectrum Sportsnet. When asked if he was one of the people James had crowned with a special salute, the Slovenian replied:

No, we don’t have it yet.

Of course, this says nothing about their relationship – the two shake hands like other athletes – but it would certainly mean a lot if the Lakers’ star duo set themselves apart – off the court as well.

LeBron’s most iconic greeting

What has caught the attention of several fans is that, as mentioned above, LeBron already has his special greeting with several people, including someone very special to the team: his photographer.

The one in charge of portraying the best version of the team, Abigail, has been seen on several occasions greeting James: He’s always very nice and comes to give me a hug or a high-five or whatever. Then, as a joke, this was in the gym and I thought, ‘I’m trying to get him to shake my hand.’ He’s famous for giving a million handshakes”, she said on THE 505 PODCAST.

His commitments to the Lakers

After a 97-115 loss at Staples Center to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 1 of the playoffs, the Los Angeles Lakers hope to improve in the next game.

Despite Luka Doncic’s 37 points and LeBron James’ 19, they were not enough to overcome the Wolves’ 21 three-pointers.
