During Super Bowl LX on Sunday, Travis Kelce‘s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, delivered a playful jab at both the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his fiancée, Taylor Swift, in a new commercial for the sports app Sleeper.

The ad, featuring Tiffany Haddish and Ben Simmons as over-the-top “emotional injury specialists” called The Ex-Communicators, set the stage for a series of jokes about high-profile relationship drama.

“Have you or someone you know been injured emotionally in a high-profile relationship?” Haddish asked, before Simmons added, “Are your exes snubbing you in commercials?”

The commercial nodded to recent celebrity digs, including Kendall Jenner poking fun at Simmons in a Fanatics Sportsbook ad last week.

“If so, you may be entitled to retribution,” Haddish said, only for Simmons to clarify, “Compensation.” “That’s what I said!” Haddish exclaimed.

Then came Nicole herself, wearing a pink suit and delivering her signature sass.

“Don’t get me started on these two,” she said of Haddish and Simmons, adding: “They have no idea what they’re doing at all.”

In the ad caption, she was labeled as the “ex of a certain NFL player,” a thinly veiled reference to Kelce.

Other celebrities get involved

Other celebrity participants added to the chaos. Ace Greene from Love Island Season 7 joked that viewers shouldn’t call them for help, while Offset admitted he didn’t “know what [he’s] doing here.”

“I’m great at relationships,” the Migos rapper quipped, referencing his ex-wife Cardi B and her relationship with Stefon Diggs of the New England Patriots, who was playing against the Seattle Seahawks in the championship game.

The ad continued with playful banter between Nicole and Simmons, echoing Swift‘s nickname.

Nicole attempted the word “rapidly,” but Simmons countered: “That’s not what I said.”

“Okay, pronto,” Nicole offered, only for Simmons to correct, “I said swiftly!” The clear nod to Swift drew laughs while keeping the focus on the playful rivalry.

The video closed with Haddish noting, “Picking the right love interest is hard,” followed by Simmons‘s sports-centric tagline: “Pick players. Choose more. Choose less. Make cash. Download Sleeper in the app store today.”

Kayla Nicole and Travis Kelce’s fiery relationship

Nicole, 34, dated Kelce, 36, on and off from 2017 to 2022 and has spoken openly about the relationship. Swift previously snubbed Nicole in her 2025 song, “Opalite.”

Meanwhile, Kelce and Swift began dating in 2023, got engaged two years later, and are expected to marry this summer.

While the couple has largely moved past Nicole‘s occasional barbs, her Super Bowl commercial appearance served as a cheeky reminder that old flames can still spark some drama – especially on the biggest stage in American sports.

The ad may have been humorous, but for viewers watching Super Bowl LX, it was another reason the intersection of sports and pop culture remains endlessly entertaining.
