Former NFL star Justin Blackmon found himself in trouble with the law after being arrested and charged with public intoxication last Saturday in Payne, Oklahoma.
The 35-year-old former wide receiver was selected with the No. 5 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by Jacksonville Jaguars. However, this is not the first time he has made headlines for his run-ins with the law for substance and alcohol use and not for his play.
On this occasion, what worried fans was his unrecognizable condition, which was revealed in a mugshot showing him disheveled and disheveled.
X’s account, @DraftDiamonds released the photo and accompanied it by saying: “This was one of the most talented wide receivers in college football history. So sad, I hope he gets the help he needs.”
Justin’s career
Last year, Blackmon was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. This year he will be inducted into the Cowboys Football Ring of Honor on Nov. 15, the day Oklahoma State would play Kansas State at Boone Pickens Stadium.
In his college career, he played 38 games for Oklahoma State, where he caught 252 passes for 3,564 yards and 40 touchdowns.
On the other hand, with the Jaguars, he excelled in his rookie season and totaled 64 receptions for 865 yards receiving and five touchdowns. His career was promising: his big catches, presence and agility gave Blackmon great potential. However, his incidents with the law caused him to flame out.
