Their first appearance together came at a Buffalo Sabres hockey game, where they were seen watching from a suite.

“Soon to come, May 31, it’s happening,” Dawkins said – a statement that now appears to have been a quiet confirmation of the wedding date.
Allen later opened up about the proposal in an interview with Steinfeld for her Beau Society newsletter, sharing a heartfelt account of how he asked the question.
“I said I couldn’t wait any longer. I said I can’t wait to start a family with you. I said your full name, and I asked you very nicely. I said please,” Allen said. “You were extremely surprised, you said yes, and that was all that mattered to me. And the sun was out.”
Steinfeld described their wedding day as the most “magical” moment of her life, a fitting description for what has been a fairytale romance played out in the public eye but protected from the spotlight.
