Rumors continue to swirl around the Mets this offseason. The latest one has to do with one of their young prospects, pitcher Jonah Tong. It seems that the franchise has his name on the trade list to let him go in exchange for signing the pitcher they want for next season, Joe Ryan, currently with the Twins.

Now that the Twins have stated that he is a player they like and can polish as the 2026 season progresses, an unexpected door opens for Tong to play and become a regular player.
