There’s no doubt that the Cleveland Browns are one of the most dysfunctional franchises in the NFL. As of now, they don’t even have a starting quarterback. Four players are competing for the position, and in recent days, it seems Kenny Pickett has taken the lead. However, every day brings a different story, and ultimately the final decision lies in the hands of Head Coach Kevin Stefanski.

One of the most exciting quarterbacks to watch today-especially after his outstanding season last year-is Baker Mayfield, who threw for 4,500 yards and 41 touchdown passes with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It’s worth remembering that Mayfield, who came out of Oklahoma’s Sooners program, used to play for the Browns and even won a playoff game with them. But three years ago, they ended up discarding him.

The Browns surely regret letting Baker Mayfield go for nothing, especially since Deshaun Watson has turned out to be a bust. Now, the quarterback position is a circus-especially considering that one of the contenders for the job is Shedeur Sanders.

Baker Mayfield and Joe Burrow lead betting markets

Betting houses have just released the odds on which quarterback will throw the most touchdown passes in the 2025 NFL season. Leading the pack is Joe Burrow, quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals, with odds of +500. That comes as no surprise after he threw 43 touchdowns last year.

Surprisingly, in second place with odds of +1000 is Baker Mayfield, who took a huge leap forward with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, throwing 41 touchdown passes. So, Baker is riding a wave of hype and, according to predictions, could have another great NFL season.

Tied with Mayfield at +1000 is Lamar Jackson, a two-time NFL MVP who also threw 41 touchdown passes, just like the Tampa Bay quarterback. Just behind them, at +1100, is Patrick Mahomes, who will once again have all his receivers healthy.
