Kylie Kelce has explained the unusual sleeping arrangement that she has with husband Jason Kelce and their newborn baby.
She gave birth to their fourth child on March 30 and that means they’re currently in the stage where at least one person is waking up multiple times in the night.
Finnley Anne is less than one month old and on the latest episode of her podcast, Not Gonna Lie, Kylie explained the system that her and former Philadelphia Eagles player Jason have put in place.
It was a pre-recorded episode as Kylie is not actively working on the podcast so soon after having the baby. It turns out Jason is freed from the baby duties in the middle of the night, but that doesn’t mean that he has it easy.
“Overnights with a newborn for us typically mean that I’m waking up and doing feeds and Jason is sleeping, so that he can man the toddlers during the day,” Kylie said.
“That’s how I like it,” Kylie added. “This is not like a decision-making, ‘Oh, let the man sleep.’ No. He needs sleep to be able to chase toddlers during the day, so that I can continue to sit with a child.”
Busy times in the Kelce household
The other Kelce children are Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, so Jason has his hands full with them during the day time.
Kylie spoke about Jason’s NFL career when he chose to retire in 2024, saying to Today: “I hope that ultimately they end up understanding that their dad had an impact on Philadelphia in a way that was wholesome and that he understood the city, enough that he wanted to stay there and raise a family there.
“He gave his blood, sweat, and tears to the city, and it was out of sheer love and commitment. And I hope that my girls see that.”
