Love is in the air: George Kittle celebrated Valentine’s Day by highlighting his wife’s new achievement.
Claire confirmed on social media that she posed for the digital cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, something she was very excited about. However, the San Francisco 49ers tight end surprised her with a themed party in her honor.
Kittle marked his territory in a fun way
With a notable admiration for fashion, as he has demonstrated in every 49ers game with his special outfits and active presence on social media, he has managed to create a distinctive identity and connect with the NFL community and his own fans in a different way.
It was with them that she shared photos on her Instagram stories of a special party her husband had prepared for her: “Wait, you guys, George threw me a surprise party today,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself with the poster from her cover.
Then came a funny photo of the TE with his wife’s poster in a swimsuit and another one with him hugging her: “You are sweet @gkittle happy Valentine’s Day I love you,” Claire wrote.
On her official Instagram account, Claire had already revealed that she had wanted to be part of the “SI family for as long as I can remember,” so posing alongside other women like Brittany Mahomes (Patrick Mahomes’ wife) and Normani filled her with excitement, pride, and joy.
“Confidence is King, Queens,” she recalled in a post where her husband once again showed his support for her initiatives off the field and commented: “My wife!!! You rock!”
George and Claire met in 2012 while attending their freshman year at the University of Iowa, where George played football and Claire played women’s basketball. From that moment on, they became inseparable and have supported each other immensely.
They started out as great friends, but over time they began dating, and in 2018, Kittle proposed. They were married on April 9, 2019, in Iowa City, and in April 2021, they had a larger celebration at their home in Nashville.
Now, while Claire is clearly enjoying a moment that has little to do with football, her husband continues to recover and prepare for another NFL season after a bitter end to this year. Kittle left the wild-card playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles due to an injury to his right Achilles tendon. The estimated recovery time is between 9 and 11 months, so he is expected to miss much of next season.
