Expectations on Shedeur Sanders were high even when he was still part of the Colorado Buffaloes and expected to be selected in the top ten of the draft.

Selected in the fifth round by the Cleveland Browns, those expectations not only didn’t go down, they went up.

With no clear QB1 on the team and five players at that position, Kevin Stefanski will have to make a decision that will affect everyone. However, for a former Browns wide receiver, Sanders has all of the winning ways.

On ESPN’s “Get Up” episode, Andrew Hawkins stated that Shedeur could be Stefanski’s ideal candidate:

Shedeur Sanders has a real chance to be the starter and the reason being, there isn’t anything going on with the Browns off season as it pertains to quarterback. That is super sexy,” Hawkins began.

You know what you get in Joe Flacco? You hope that Kenny Pickett grabs the reigns. I don’t think Kenny Pickett has done that thus far. So it comes down to Dillion Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders” analyzed the former Cleveland Browns.

What is surprising is the support he gave to the newcomer from Colorado Buffaloes, since he does not see him as a young inexperienced player, but as a true veteran:

Shedeur’s not gonna wow you when you see him throw it, or his athletic ability. When the pads get on and you watch him go through his process, he looks like a vet compared to what you typically see out of a rookie

With four players vying for the QB1 job, the competition is stiff and numerous. And while all have demonstrated their skills and strengths, the Browns still don’t have a clear QB1.
