Jonathan Owens and the Chicago Bears celebrated the team’s 26-14 victory over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, bringing their record to 4-2.
However, it was the 30-year-old safety and his wife, Olympic medalist Simone Biles, who stole the show.
Owens’ response to Biles’ post and the fans’ reaction
After the game, the 28-year-old gymnast shared a post with her 12.2 million Instagram followers featuring nine photos and videos showing off her personalized outfit in honor of her husband.
Wearing a plain white top and knee-high boots of the same color, the star of the look was her navy blue miniskirt with the number 36 on the front and the inscription “OWENS 36” on the back. Her handbag, also white, bore the same slogan in black.
In the caption, Biles cheekily wrote, “trust me, I know ball,” to which her husband replied in the same vein, “And that’s facts.”
However, what caught the attention of fans was a video shared by the gymnast in which the safety caresses his wife’s butt, prompting fans to quickly flood the comments section with reactions to this interaction:
“Squeezing the hell out of what’s his. HE WON,” said one. “Top athletic couple. Love how y’all rock,” commented another. “You and Jonathan are too cute,” wrote a third. “Wow, I can just feel the love coming through the pictures,” said another.
Others also highlighted Simone’s look: “WAG era is going insane,” “seeing your glam fits every week is my Super Bowl,” “She looks so happy these days” were some of the comments from Biles’ followers.
This gesture is just another example of the support and affection the couple often shows each other. On numerous occasions, both Biles and Owens have declared their admiration and love for each other on social media, whatever the reason.
The couple began their relationship in August 2020. On February 14, 2022, they announced their engagement and finally got married on April 22, 2023.
