Caitlin Clark is back – and even Dick Vitale can’t keep quiet about it.

After missing five games with a quad strain, the Indiana Fever sophomore returned to the court on Saturday and instantly reignited the WNBA spotlight.

Dropping a staggering 32 points, along with nine assists and eight rebounds, Clark led her team to a thrilling 102-88 win over the previously undefeated New York Liberty. But it wasn’t just her stat line that had people buzzing – it was how she did it.

Launching threes from near-logo range like it was practice, Clark went 7-of-14 from beyond the arc, putting on a shooting clinic that had fans, analysts, and fellow athletes stunned.

Only Steph himself can challenge Caitlin

During one jaw-dropping stretch at the end of the first quarter, she drained three triples in under a minute – one from the left wing, another from deep straight on, and a final dagger with just over 40 seconds to go.

The viral moment had legendary college basketball analyst Dick Vitale singing her praises – and comparing her to the NBA’s three-point king.

“Yes, Caitlin Clark’s range is only challenged by the best shooter of all time, Stephen Curry,” Vitale posted on X (formerly Twitter). “She led the Indiana Fever to a big win versus the New York Liberty, who were 9-0. I am in awe!”

That’s right – Vitale believes there’s only one player on the planet whose shooting range can rival Clark’s: the Golden State Warriors’Steph Curry.

The rise of the GOAT

The 22-year-old phenom’s return not only handed New York its first loss of the season – it reminded everyone why she’s the most electrifying star in the sport. Whether it’s draining impossible shots or rewriting the limits of long-distance shooting, Clark continues to redefine what’s possible in women’s basketball.

And if Vitale’s right, we’re not just witnessing a star – we’re watching the rise of the GOAT.
