The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas has just witnessed a true boxing masterclass from Ryan García, who has just earned one of the biggest victories of his career with a tremendous knockout in the second round that keeps him as the WBC welterweight champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC) and one of the best boxers in his entire division.
The Mexican-American boxer entered to the song “El Rey,” and the Mexican crowd exploded with excitement while Conor Benn waited in the ring, eager to take the welterweight championship from him. It was then that the introductions were made to begin the battle, and when the bell rang, two pugilists could be seen eager to claim the victory.

The first episode of this battle was more of a diagnosis, but it gave signs that it could end soon for either side because of the power of their punching. The first to do damage was the British fighter, who made his punching power felt to the point that it looked like Ryan could fall to the canvas, but then the bell rang and each one went to his corner.
The second episode maintained the intensity of both fighters, but it was then that Ryan managed to connect on Conor Benn to send him to the canvas with a powerful right hook, forcing him to take the count and continue the fight. However, the Mexican-American pressed again, and that was when the referee stepped in to stop the fight so that García could retain his World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight Championship.

After receiving his WBC title, Ryan Garcia took the microphone to speak about his achievement and issue a public challenge to Teofimo Lopez, who was at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and, upon hearing his name, got fired up and wanted to get into the ring, but they did not let him in.
This is not the only time the two fighters have challenged each other, as the rivalry dates back to 2025, when they had wanted to face off, but still without reaching an agreement, so tonight could have been the straw that broke the camel’s back for this fight to finally happen.
