One of the biggest challenges ahead for Adams is reaching the elite 1,000-catch club, that up to this moment only 16 players had this receptions in the league history. Currently, Adam stands at 957 career receptions. However, the veteran receiver has emphasized that personal milestones are not his main focus during the heat of the game.

“The thing is I’m not aware like of where I’m at half the time, like, if I have like a big catch game, I don’t know when I hit 10, I have no idea,” Adam said while talking with the media during the training camp of the team.

In addition to this, there is a big battle to see who’s going to enter this privileged group first. Adam is in competition against DeAndre Hopkins from the Baltimore Ravens that appeared with 984 catches and Keenan Allen from the Chicago Bears that had the mark of 974 catches.

However, Davante Adam has made it clear that during the game he is not aware of those marks but he is aware of his level during the game “Usually, if you got three catches that’s pretty easy, but once you start racking them up, like, yeah. ‘I’m just, my awareness level during a game, I’m so aware of where people are to where I can’t really know where my numbers are.”
