The Dallas Cowboys are gearing up for a tough preseason showdown with the Baltimore Ravens this Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. But before Dak Prescott steps onto the field, the star quarterback had fans talking about something completely different: soccer legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

In a fun social media segment for America’s Team, players were asked to reveal their most recent internet search with a Snickers Ice Cream on the line if they showed it to the camera. Prescott didn’t hesitate. With a smile, he shared that he had been curious about the age difference between Messi and Ronaldo. What he discovered left him stunned.

Dak Prescott surprised by coincidence between Messi and Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo, born February 5, 1985, just turned 40. Lionel Messi, born June 24, 1987, is 38. That means the two greatest players of their generation are 869 days apart in age. A fun coincidence in itself but the story didn’t stop there.

Prescott went on to learn something even wilder: Ronaldo’s oldest son, Cristiano Jr. (born June 17, 2010), and Messi’s oldest son, Thiago (born November 2, 2012), are also 869 days apart in age. The exact same gap as their fathers. For Prescott, who knows all about the competitive fire between elite athletes, it was a mind blowing discovery that he couldn’t wait to share with fans.

Of course, Prescott’s lighthearted moment comes as the Cowboys continue their serious business of preparing for the season. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer is still evaluating the roster ahead of final cuts, and the preseason meeting with the Ravens offers one more chance for players to prove they belong.

Behind Prescott, the battle for the backup quarterback spot remains unsettled. Both Joe Milton and Will Grier are vying for the job, but the coaching staff has yet to commit. With September still weeks away, Dallas is in no rush to finalize the depth chart, but the clock is ticking.

For now, Cowboys fans can enjoy the fact that their quarterback not only studies defenses but also dives into fascinating sports trivia.
