The 2025 NFL Draft will be the 90th annual meeting of NFL franchises. Scheduled to be held April 24-26, it’s already getting a lot of headlines.

Contrary to what several fans thought, the Cleveland Browns may not pick Colorado junior Travis Hunter in the second round.

Should the team decide to take a chance and secure their quarterback, Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart, would be the ideal candidate. So said PFF’s Dalton Wasserman: “Jaxson Dart’s value in the draft could be the hardest to define in this class”, writes.

If the Browns consider him their candidate, they could opt to wait until the top of the second round to make their move. But if they’re really convinced, especially after his FBS-best passer rating of 91.9 in 2024, they may not be able to resist pulling the trigger on the second overall pick.

The truth is that the center position has brought them more than one headache for Cleveland, so trying to solve this problem as soon as possible wouldn’t be a bad option. Despite Deshaun Watson‘s promises to shine again this season, the best option for the Browns is to make sure and this is where Jaxson comes in.

The 21-year-old comes in off a season with improved accuracy, leading the SEC with 69.3% of his pass completions and his 4279 passing yards, with more calm, talent and leadership.

His ability to throw on the move, his timing and touch leave to the imagination great possibilities to provoke offensive strategies that break into the game of his opponents.

Will this be enough to be chosen ahead of Hunter?
