Charles Leclerc is currently ranked fifth in the Formula 1 World Championship standings, with the Scuderia Ferrari recording 47 points.

McLaren teammates Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris currently hold the first and second position, followed by Red Bull Racing superstar Max Verstappen, and Mercedes driver George Russell on fourth.

Leclerc has mentioned that he believes that Ferrari still don’t have the potential to fight McLaren or Red Bull, with the Scuderia making a slow start to the 2025 season with the Monegasque’s run to third in Saudi Arabia, the team’s only podium in a Grand Prix to date this year.

Charles LeClerc fails terribly as quarterback

In preparation for Miami Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc got to spend some time with some Miami Dophins linebackers Quinton Bell, Jaelan Phillips, William Bradley-King, and Bradley Chubb, as well as edge rushers Jaelan Phillips, Bradley Chubb.

Bell got to throw a football with Leclerc, but what the former Prairie View A & M player didn’t know was just how bad the Formula 1 driver was when it came to throwing a ball. “Oh my god, that was bad!”, the Dolphins player said. Charles’ catching abilities were not any better, by the way.

The Formula 1 official X account also poked fun at Leclerc’s terrible football skills. Things were different, though, when it came to Charles’ kicking technique, as the Ferrari star was able to kick a football the correct way, something that Miami Dolphins mascot T.D. celebrated in a big way.

Ferrari’s start has not been the best

Charles Leclerc understands that the 2025 season has not started in the way Scuderia Ferrari wanted to, as they have found themselves unable to take the fight to pacesetters McLaren, currently sitting fourth in the Constructors’ Standings behind Mercedes and Red Bull.

“It’s not been the first part of the season we wished we had, but it’s the first part of the season we had – so now we need to focus on what’s ahead and try to improve just like we have in the last three races,” said Leclerc to the media in Miami.

The driver added that Ferrari has taken good steps in the right direction and now the team has to built on that with the hope of having the first victory as soon as possible. “We’ve got to take the points that are available and then whenever we will have the car to fight for wins,” he stated.
